2025 Player Preview

The 13th annual Nike Boys Philly Showcase takes place Saturday at United Sports in Downingtown, PA. Widely regarded as North America's top individual recruiting event, the Nike Boys Philly Showcase is expected to welcome 650+ athletes from the class of 2025, 2024, 2023, and 2022.

Below are a few players to keep an eye out for in the class of 2025 - and what they're listening to pregame! 

Chase Drake (M)
Lake Braddock Secondary | DC Express Black

Chase Drake looks every part of an old-school downhill dodging midfielder. He possesses a great first move and once he gets going down the alley, goalies beware. The DC Express product will only continue to develop athletically. Chase will thrive in a showcase format on Saturday.

Harrison Kim (M)
Harrison Kim | Cali Gold, Pride, Berserkers

California is always represented well at the Nike Boys Philly Showcase and Harrison Kim looks to continue the West Coast’s success at the event. Kim is another athletic midfielder from the 2025 class. The lefty has a strong shot on the run. With Kim’s athleticism, look for him to make plays all day in between the two restraining lines.

Michael Ortlieb (A) 
Malvern Prep | Big 4 HHH

The local Philly product is one of the best finishers in the 2025 class and he can probably attest that to his box lacrosse experience. Ortlieb flourished in the NXT Mid-Atlantic Spring League last season and plays club ball for one of the top teams in the ‘25 class, Big 4 HHH. Even when Ortlieb is seemingly covered he isn’t. He has the ability to get almost any shot off and isn’t afraid to pull it from extreme angles. He’ll be filling up the stat sheet on Saturday.

Jack Carroll (D/LSM) 
Malvern Prep | Big 4 HHH

Carroll is another local Big 4 HHH player and part of a loaded 2025 class at Malvern Prep. Carroll is an athletic takeaway defender. He is capable of guarding any number-one attackman in the class of ‘25. He certainly looks the part too as he rocked the Mikey Powell eyeblack all spring at the NXT Mid-Atlantic Spring League.

Rand Shepard (D)
Phillips Exeter Academy | Texas Oilers, Iron Horse

The Lone-Star State native made the All-Star game last year as a 2024 before re-classifying as a 2025 this year at Phillips Exeter. Shepard possesses great stick skills making him always a threat to push it in transition. He is poised for his age and rarely over pursues his matchup. With his experience last year we wouldn’t be surprised if we saw him get an All-Star nod again.
