Kate Henwood

Executive VP of Girls Lacrosse

Kate Henwood joined the NXT team in June of 2015 as the Director of Girls Lacrosse, and immediately established the Girls Lacrosse Club and multiple training programs.  In April 2018, she was elevated to Executive Vice President of Girls Lacrosse, and now oversees the Girls Lacrosse Division, which includes both club/education and events.  She manages a full-time team of four who operate 21 events, 20 club teams, and a vast portfolio of training programs/camps/leagues each year.

A Garnet Valley ('01) and La Salle ('05) alumna, Henwood served as head coach of the University of California-Davis Aggies for three seasons ('13-'15) after winning back-to-back state championships at Garnet Valley in her second and third seasons as head coach.  In her initial season at UC Davis, she led the Aggies to an upset of nationally-ranked conference rival Stanford.

Her Garnet Valley tenure ('10-'12) produced multiple All-Americans, brought the school its first two state titles, and laid the foundation for what has become one of Pennsylvania's premier programs.  Prior to taking the helm at Garnet Valley, Henwood served as the top assistant and defensive coordinator at Villanova University ('07-'09), taught social studies for 7 years at Garnet Valley, and earned her M.A. in American History from Villanova University.
