Steve Layne started at Richmond in the 2014 season and is the assistant coach for men’s lacrosse after being the Director of Lacrosse Operations at his alma mater, Loyola University.

Layne assists defensive coordinator Paul Richards with defense and focuses primarily on the fundamentals, technique and mechanics.  In addition, Layne works with the goalies.

A standout for the Greyhounds, Layne was a three-year starter at Loyola, earning All-ECAC First-Team honor in 2010 and second-team laurels in 2009.
