Parke Schweiter doesn't sugarcoat it. He thought long and hard throughout his first semester at Hobart about how badly he wanted to play Division I lacrosse.

The All-American defenseman at Trinity, a NXT Lacrosse Club NXT 2014 alum, was locked in to fulfill his dream of playing Division I lacrosse at the College of the Holy Cross. He knew that the commitment was significant and that he'd start at the bottom of the depth chart, especially as a raw prospect coming out of a non-hotbed area. At the same time, it was Division I lacrosse with top-of-the-line academics, so there wasn't a whole lot to dislike.

NXTlacrosse features so many different players who have such varying backgrounds and life stories. This is the second story in a series of first-person renditions of those backgrounds and what each player thought and went through. NXT 2017 midfielder and attackman Colby Smith, an Ohio State commit who has emerged as Hempfield's next All-American, continues the series. This is his first-person account of how he had to bide his time before seeing the field for the Black Knights.

The NXT Girls rookie and Radnor freshman has been a standout all fall for Amanda Kammes' team, and with goals like the one in the video above, it's not hard to see why.

The Boys Philly Showcase and Invitational weekend at United Sports in Downingtown, PA hosted 188 college coaches representing 144 colleges, including several NCAA National Champions.

The Boys Philly Freshman Showcase takes place this Saturday, November 18th, 2017 at United Sports in Downingtown, Pa. The Boys Philly Freshman Showcase parallels the Boys Philly Showcase, North America's premier recruiting event.
